TEMPORARY
Part-Time Public Health Nurse Job Opening

The Perry County Health Department has an exciting opportunity for a TEMPORARY, PART-TIME Public Health Nurse to assist in the office with the COVID-19 response. This position will provide administration of immunizations and assist in the COVID-19 response by addressing calls and questions related to COVID-19. This position may also conduct COVID-19 contact tracing when needed.
This position will work approximately 29 hours per week, at $16.99 per hour. This position is not eligible for health insurance, but will contribute to the Ohio Public Employee Retirement System. The assignment will be six (6) months and could be re-evaluated at the end of the six-month period.
Minimum Qualifications for the Public Health Nurse position: currently licensed as a registered nurse pursuant to Section 4723.13 of the Ohio Revised Code. Applicants must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License, with ongoing proof of auto insurance also required. Candidates should possess a demonstrated ability to successfully work with a team, build relationships, organize and manage multiple tasks, and be customer service oriented. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Applicants must also be able to demonstrate a commitment to improving public health by preventing disease, promoting health and safety, and protecting our environment. This includes the ability to collaborate with community partners to improve health in the Perry County community, and inform the public about policies, programs, and resources.
