Full-time Health Educator
The Perry County Health Department has an exciting opportunity for a full-time, Health Educator working as the Child Injury Prevention Coordinator to implement our Child Injury Prevention Grant Program.
Under the direction of the Director of Health Education and Grants Management, the Child Injury Prevention Coordinator will implement the Ohio Department of Health approved grant workplan, which includes objectives such as working with community partners to lead a county-wide Child Injury Prevention Coalition, becoming trained as a Child Passenger Safety Technician, working with law enforcement and other community partners to host car seat safety events, and working with community partners to lessen the immediate and long-term effects of Adverse Childhood Experience's (ACE's). The Child Injury Prevention Coordinator will also develop population-based strategies to tailor educational and prevention efforts to children ages 0 to 18.

Vector (Mosquito) Control Technician Opportunity
The Perry County Health Department has an exciting upcoming opportunity for a part-time, temporary position in the Mosquito Surveillance and Control Program. The position will begin in May of this year and continue through August. The Mosquito Technician will work up to 29 hours per week, with 2 to 4 days being between the hours of 7pm-12am and 5 to 7 hours per week during regular Health Department business hours. This is a perfect opportunity for a high school or college student interested in environmental science!
