Emergency Preparedness Coordinator
Responsibilities: Coordinates emergency preparedness activities and responds to public health emergencies; completes, maintains, and updates preparedness plans; facilitates exercises and trainings; collaborates with local partners and regional planners; serves as the Medical Reserve Corps Coordinator; participates in the Cities Readiness Initiative; ensures timely and accurate submission of grant/contract deliverables and meets reporting requirements. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree or has 1-3 years of emergency preparedness work experience; experience developing policies and program management/implementation; and experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other software. Applicants with RN or RS licenses also preferred. Ohio driver’s license with ongoing proof of auto insurance required. Buckeye Hills-HVRDD, Request for Qualifications For Healthcare Access Study for Perry County, Ohio
Buckeye Hills-Hocking Valley Regional Development District (hereinafter referred to as Buckeye Hills) seeks proposals from qualified outside entities to complete a healthcare access analysis. The analysis will determine best approaches to addressing the healthcare issues and challenges associated with the results of a comprehensive health assessment of Perry County, Ohio. One (1) original and three (3) copies of sealed proposals must be received by the date and time as noted in the Request for Qualifications (RFQ). Buckeye Hills will not accept submissions by e‐mail or fax. Buckeye Hills will reject proposals received after the closing date. Environmental Health – Vector Control Program
The Perry County Health Department Environmental Division is offering a paid summer 2016 internship opportunity in Mosquito Surveillance and Pesticide application until September for up to 20 hours per week at $8.10 per hour. Under supervision of a Sanitarian the intern will learn about the biology of the mosquito and mosquito borne illnesses; learn about proper pesticide handling and application techniques, laws, and safety; and learn about mosquito trapping and operating mosquito pesticide application equipment. Hours will vary but will range between 7:00pm-12:00am 2-4 days per week to for pesticide application and roughly 5 to 7 hours per week during normal business hours (7:00am-5:00pm) for mosquito trapping and surveillance.
